Different types of Fruit Smoothies that you can make
Mar 08 2023 FoodIf you want to try something new, then why not add some fruits to your morning drink? There are several types of fruits that you can blend to create delicious and nutritious fruit smoothies.
Fruit Smoothies
Banana smoothie
These are great for those who like banana taste in their drinks. They contain vitamin A, potassium, magnesium, fibre, protein, and other nutrients.
They also help lower cholesterol levels. You can use frozen bananas or fresh ones.
Strawberry smoothie
This one is more popular than the banana smoothie. It contains vitamins C, K, E, B6, folic acid, calcium, and iron among others.
To get the most out of this smoothie, always opt for strawberries with seeds. Also, don’t skip adding some ice cubes when blending them.
Mango smoothie
This one has been on my list as well because I love mangoes. Just be sure to buy ones with ripe flesh rather than overripe ones.
Overripe mangos have too much sugar which makes them bitter. On the other hand, unripe mangoes have very little juice content. So if you choose unripe mangoes, add some lemon juice to enhance their flavour.
Pineapple Smoothie
Since pineapple is rich in vitamin C and bromelain, it helps our immune system function properly. Try using organic pineapple so that you can avoid preservatives and pesticides.
Grapefruit Smoothie
Although this one take longer to prepare, grapefruits are packed with nutrients such as vitamin C, folate, and potassium.
Plus, they boost energy while helping prevent cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
Orange Juice Smoothie
Oranges are full of antioxidants that help fight free radicals and reduce inflammation.
The high amount of vitamin C in oranges helps boost your immune system. Be sure to squeeze the orange before blending it with milk.
Peach Smoothie
Like any kind of peach, peaches are full of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.
However, since they are relatively expensive, it would be wise to only eat fresh peaches instead of buying cans of peaches.
Blueberry Smoothie
Blueberries are excellent sources of manganese, copper, phosphorus, zinc, vitamin A, and vitamin B6.
They also contain anti-cancer properties that aid in preventing breast, colon, prostate, stomach, lung, liver, pancreatic, oesophagal, and ovarian cancers.
Black Cherry Smoothie
Black cherries contain anthocyanins that help lower blood pressure and improve kidney health.
But be careful not to consume too many black cherries because they may cause diarrhoea and nausea.
Mixed Fruit Smoothie
This is one of my favourite combinations. It includes apples, pears, and bananas. Apples and pears are rich in dietary fibre that helps flush toxins from our bodies.
Bananas contain potassium that keeps our muscles relaxed.
Green Apple Smoothie
These are perfect for those who love green tea. Green apple smoothies consist of water, green tea leaves, cinnamon powder, honey, and ginger root which together give off a wonderful aroma and taste.
Coconut Milk Smoothie
Coconut milk is delicious but it doesn’t agree with everyone. Some people find it has an unpleasant smell. However, by combining coconut milk with milk, we can create a smoothie that gives us all the benefits of both.
Almond Milk Smoothie
This drink consists of almond milk, frozen vanilla yoghurt, sliced almonds, and ground flaxseeds.
Flaxseeds are a great alternative to eggs. Moreover, they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids that help lower cholesterol and protect against cardiovascular diseases.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
Most people don’t associate peanut butter with desserts. Nevertheless, peanut butter makes a fabulous ingredient for chocolate-based drinks. Enjoy!
Vanilla Ice Cream Smoothie
When ice cream and milk come together, magic happens. This combination will surely satiate your sweet cravings.
Yogurt Coffee Smoothie
If coffee isn’t something that you like consuming daily, then substitute it with yoghurt. Yoghurt contains probiotics that promote good digestion and healthy intestines.
Mango Pineapple Smoothie
Mangos are filled with vitamin B6, vitamin C, and folic acid. As far as fruits go, pineapples have the highest concentration of bromelain, an enzyme that aids digestion and fights inflammation.
Strawberries and Cream Smoothie
This is such an easy way to enjoy the strawberry season! You will love the sweet taste of the strawberries combined with the tangy flavour of vanilla ice cream.

In addition, drinking smoothies regularly will keep our digestive system functioning smoothly.
